About Us

COPIA is an impact venture capital fund that stands at the forefront of innovation in the AgriFood industry. Our vision since our establishment in 2014 is to revolutionize the global food supply chain, by transforming groundbreaking AgriFood technologies into robust and practical solutions.

Our unique approach is to invest in technological projects within world-renowned research institutions and universities and collaborate closely with industry leaders to transform these technologies into tangible products and processes that improve sustainability and add value to all stakeholders throughout the food chain, from the genetics to the plate.

We incorporate those projects either into Special Purpose Companies (SPCs) or into independent startup companies with dedicated teams and laboratories (Venture Creation). In the case of SPCs, we assign project and business managers from our team to each venture and together with the technology developers lead the project all the way to commercial readiness. Practically, we are the AgriFood VenturePreneurs!

In addition, we expand our portfolio by investing in start-ups through the traditional venture capital model. This diversified approach allows us to harness the full potential of emerging technologies in academia, and promising start-up ventures, while staying true to our core mission of transforming the AgriFood landscape.

Building on our success in our first fund, which invested only in Israel, we are in course of establishing COPIA-2, which will invest globally.
